About our process

How long does a typical project take?

From initial consultation to completion, most full-service projects take 6-18 months depending on scope and complexity. New builds typically take longer than renovations or refreshes. We'll give you a detailed timeline during the exploration phase.

What size projects do you take on?

We work on everything from single-room refreshes to whole-home renovations and new builds. What matters most is alignment—we want to ensure we're the right fit for your vision and that we can deliver the transformation you're seeking.

Do you work outside your local area?

Yes! We've worked with clients across the country. For projects outside our area, travel expenses are included in the project investment.

Can you work with my existing contractor?

Absolutely. We coordinate with contractors regularly and enjoy collaborative relationships with trusted builders.

About Investment

What's the typical investment for a project?

Full-service projects typically range from $30,000 to $150,000+ depending on scope, size, and finish levels. This includes our design fees, project management, and all furnishings and materials (purchased through us). Construction costs are separate and vary by project.

How does payment work?

We begin with a $1,800 exploration phase. For full-service projects, design fees are split into installments (30% at contract, 30% at floor plans, 30% at selections, 10% at install). Construction management fees and furnishings are structured based on your specific project.

Do you charge hourly or flat fees?

We offer both options depending on project scope. For larger transformations, we typically work on a flat-fee basis. For smaller projects or consultations, hourly arrangements may be more appropriate.

How involved will I be in the process?

As involved as you want to be. We handle all the complexity and coordination, but we value your input at key decision points. Many clients appreciate that we don't require them to attend every contractor meeting or make hundreds of tiny decisions—we guide you through what matters.

What if I don't know my style?

That's part of what we help you discover! Through our questionnaire, conversation, and concept board process, we'll help you clarify what resonates with you. Your intuition knows more than you think.

Can you work with my budget?

We're committed to creating beautiful, functional spaces at various investment levels. During our discovery call and exploration phase, we'll discuss what's possible within your budget and ensure we're aligned before moving forward.

Do I need to have everything figured out before reaching out?

Not at all. Part of our job is helping you gain clarity. Come with your dreams, your questions, and your hopes—we'll help you sort through the rest.

What if I'm not ready to start immediately?

That's perfectly fine. Many of our clients reach out months before they're ready to begin. We're happy to have an initial conversation and stay connected until the timing is right.

I'm nervous about letting someone into my home and life. Is that normal?
